Village Life,
the village life is like frozen in time, we enter a new dimension a new aspect of African life ... A key consideration for all Cameroonians. Indeed, as I already have said the village to a particular connotation, even for city dwellers for whom it represents the roots, a real anchor.
village life is as if deprived of that special excitement that prevails in Yaounde, here in the quiet village overlooking the calm ... And in Yaounde it is hard to find! This city is in turmoil, people everywhere, motorcycle taxis everywhere, shops everywhere, street vendors everywhere, children everywhere ... every corner of the city is operated!
This is quite different from village life more serene and peaceful away from all the excitement, and yes to three hours we are immersed in Africa "Deep" (in the sense of the term) an Africa full of traditions, customs. In the village, even if the house is equipped with electricity and water (through a water tower that collects rainwater) the time is suspended. For women, the days are punctuated by the preparation of meals. Even if the house we're staying has electricity it is still less than the cooking is done over a wood fire ... Too bad the pictures are too long to load ...
Also, since when is village everyone going to say hello and that everyone must eat, must be able to provide food to all visitors so that the quantities to be prepared are staggering ... The days are mostly spent on meal preparation, preparation even longer than women leave ingredients in their natural state so unrefined. Thus
to prepare a peanut sauce will: Toast nuts in ensuring that they do not crament, take away their brown envelope, then crush them to remove a soft dough ... which is actually quite laborious and time consuming.
For example, watch in hand to prepare the hull a specialty Cameroon prepared from a variety of white bean (it looks like a little bean cassoulet speed) for two people it takes 3 hours from the start of the preparation and tasting .
This lifestyle suits me a few days, I need to move! I'm bored here in the village. Even if through a telephone connected to the internet I was able to connect to the village I do not hide my joy back to Yaounde ...
