Hello everyone,
first day of competition today, and luckily not the last!
was the sprint this morning and head to head this afternoon. In the sprint, it was a good start, but two mistakes along the way that we are delayed enough to be finished ... 9th. Well, it was not as great journey, but it was not a disaster either. Great Britain won the sprint followed by Dutch and American women.
A long break during the afternoon, a good dinner of three bread underwater with either a slice of ham, a slice of cheese or a slice of salami entre chaque (on fait un sous-marin avec trois...) avant le head to head.
It has ensured that our exit was not good and slow. Here, the Dutch have caught and passed on the left. Woe ...
was not released until the end but unfortunately it was not enough.
It was not a dream day, but we see ahead. The championship is not finished and we learn a lot every day of the morphology of the river, very different from what we are accustomed. It is very intense as the route.
Slovaks eventually prevailed on the Russians (who really does love us not by the way). And Great Britain was third. We take it
relax at the hotel tonight, we think our lines slalom and we exchange a few ideas by playing UNO on the hotel terrace. It is a beautiful venue, facilities are nice and we practice our listening to the Dutch Music More instead. Not as easy day, but we trust in tomorrow!
